Oekelino is a shipped iOS app I built for growing a personal Italian vocabulary collection through one daily word, focused review, and light progression.
Each day starts with a scratch card that reveals the Italian word, article, plural, example sentence, and etymology note. Saved words build up into a collection that can be browsed by category, mastery, and personal favourites.
Review sessions use spaced repetition to bring words back at the right time, with typing, speaking, and quick-choice answer modes. An on-device assistant can offer clues and example sentences when a learner gets stuck.
The current release includes a streak calendar, rewards timeline, unlockable vocabulary packs, themes, scratch coats, card finishes, answer effects, friend word sharing, and Premium options for removing ads and boosting eligible point rewards.
