Accessible dating app for disabled people
A dating app concept shaped around access needs from the start.
For Accessible Information Systems, our group designed a dating app concept for disabled people where accessibility shaped the product from the first screen.
We mapped visual, physical, cognitive, neurological, and auditory access needs, then used those constraints to shape onboarding, matching, messaging, and profile flows. The concept lets users configure voice commands, contrast, color filters, dyslexia-friendly typography, and peripheral-vision support from the first session. We also proposed a reciprocal recommender that uses preferences without using disability as a matching signal.
