Overview
Oekelino is an iOS vocabulary app built around the idea that learning a language should feel like collecting something you love. Each day, users scratch open a new Italian word from a daily box — a small ritual that makes the habit stick. Words accumulate into a personal library, organized by category and mastery level, with spaced repetition underneath to make sure nothing gets forgotten.
The app includes voice-based practice sessions using iOS speech recognition, a social layer for sharing words with friends, a points economy for unlocking additional word packs, and an album progression system with objectives and rewards. Built natively in Swift using SwiftUI and SwiftData, with CloudKit powering cloud sync and social features.
